Disembodied Chickens: 17% fat

Chicken flesh has been marketed as a “lean meat,” helping propel the amount of chickens consumed in the world. I found this film (non-vegan) on factory farming vs traditional farming, which takes chicken carcasses from the supermarket to the lab and reveals they are 17% fat. So that’s what was gained when chickens were bred to grow twice as fast!

Not to mention hock burn (also depicted in the film).

Note: the part about chicken fat is about 36 minutes in.
